Termes

Les termes et leurs définitions sont donnés dans la forme qu'ils prennent sur le fil, c'est-à-dire en anglais : ce sont les noms que renvoient les méthodes et que portent les événements, et les traduire en ferait des mots que le nœud ne connaît pas. Pour les mêmes notions en français, voir le glossaire en langage clair.

Mini-block

A signed batch of transactions and receipts sealed by the sequencer at a ~10 ms scheduling target. It constitutes a preconfirmation.

Preconfirmation

A signed commitment by the sequencer to an ordering and an execution result, made before the containing EVM block is sealed. It is not finality.

EVM block

A standard Ethereum-shaped block wrapping the mini-blocks of a ~250 ms scheduling target interval. It constitutes a confirmation for wallets and explorers.

Confirmation

Inclusion in a sealed EVM block. Not the same event as finality.

Finality

The state after the containing batch is settled on Ethereum. This site uses the word for nothing else.

Scheduling target

An interval the block producer aims for. It is not a latency guarantee and it is not a throughput figure. The sealer skips a late tick rather than catching up, so a target is a cadence and not a promise.

Leader

The single active sequencer process that orders, executes and seals.

Replica

A process that derives canonical state from the L1 and the data-availability layer by re-executing the published transaction lists. It serves read RPC, produces nothing, and runs no WebSocket server.

Derivation payload

The published per-block record - the full transaction list, parent and block hashes, and timestamp - from which a replica re-executes.

Pending

On Pickle, not a mempool state. There is no public mempool: a transaction hash is published to the pending feed only after it has executed and been indexed. As a block tag, `pending` resolves to the latest block.

PKL

The Pickle ecosystem token. 18 decimals, a specified fixed supply of 10,000,000,000, no mint function, and a holder-only burn. Gas is paid in ETH, permanently - PKL is never required to transact.

ABX

AlphBanX, a separate and pre-existing token on Alephium. It is the legacy asset a migration allocation draws from, and it is not PKL under an old name.

Burn

A reduction of `totalSupply()`. Holding tokens at an inaccessible address is 'removed from circulation' and is a different thing, because `totalSupply()` is unchanged.

DA

Data availability. The content-addressed layer every block's full derivation payload is stored in, keyed by its hash; a compact envelope naming it is committed to Ethereum. If the layer is unavailable, the payload is posted to Ethereum as calldata instead.

Protocol take

The portion of an application's fee income that is the application's own revenue - after liquidity-provider fees, creator royalties, service-provider payments and user principal are excluded.
